I'm waiting for the auto shop to send a car, so I can pick up the Vovlo. I wish I lived in a city where a car was unnecessary. I wouldn't own one if I didn't have to. They always wait until the budget is none existent, and then three or four things go wrong at once. The electric system for the windows went bad, and they found something wrong with an 'oil overflow' something or other. Anyway, out $345, and we haven't even dealt with a $650 dollar master brake cylinder replacement, which we knew was coming. Sucks.
If I didn't have to own a car, I throw an extra credit card in a sock drawer for those times that I wanted or needed to rent one, instead of maintaining one. Cars are just continuous overhead as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather be able to walk to work, the store, library or neighborhood pub, whatever, and have a decent public transportation system when I need to leave the neighborhood, and like I just said, rent a car when needed.
I won't get to the science postings today. I know, no surprise to regular readers, but as usual, reality intrudes. No surprise. Also, I'm meeting with Colonel Spock tonight, and I'm sure that will be good for a post by itself.
That's it for now...
