We're at war - Don't scare the children
That's it. That is the offical Baby Bush Administration line. I just got a piece of Wolf Blitzer Reports
, interviewing Chief of Staff Andrew H. Card, Jr.
, and heard Card defend Baby Bush at Booker Elementary School on 9/11 (THE VIDEO)
, waiting until they finished reading the story to the kids after he was told about the second airliner impacting the World Trade Center. Card states that Baby Bush did the right thing in not 'scaring the children'.
Yes, my fellow Americans and Foreign readers, it is better for a US persident not to scare a classroom of children than to start defending an America under attack.
Here's a slightly different take on the event:
But far more telling than Bush's reaction is that of Card himself who, as can be seen in the above clip, steps in to inform Bush of the second impact (without mentioning the fact that more hijacked planes were in the air), then immediately steps back without waiting for a reply. Bush's job is to make decisions. How does Card know that Bush will not make one then and there?
Which one do you believe?
Off to Manuel's Tavern for the weekly get together of the Democratic Government in Exile. As usual, if you happen to be in town, and have the time available, stop on by. Probably won't post again until tomorrow sometime. Hey, and send me some positive karma if you got it to spare, I'm competing for a position as a local lobbyist. Help me cross over to the dark side.
