Admin - Traffic Analysis
Fascinating. I haven't been posting over to American Samizdat
for the past few days. Largely due to the fact that the current political situation here in the US has recently depresses me, rather than inspiring me to rant. So, I was expecting a drop off in readership, which I got to some extent, but not nearly as much as I expected. In fact, I've received a large number of hits from Europe, especially Central Europe, over the past few days. So many hits, that I have more hits from Europe than anywhere else outside the US Eastern seaboard.
Yesterday, I had somewhere around 11 - 12 hits, just from Poland, plus some visits from just about every other European country. All of them to my 05/16/04 archive
. I'd love to know what the attraction is, but I think it may be "I remember the Army..."
that is generating the interest, as I believe that was the entry page of the first visit from Poland yesterday. I could be wrong, and I'd love to know for sure. So, if any of my Polish visitors happen to come here to the 'front page', I'm interested.
Then, starting about 2115 hrs last night, I've had a rash of hits to my 06/06/04 archive
from what looks to be around the globe. I'm thinking this might be in response to another mailing by Mr. Ian Bell, Chief Executive of "Strategic Business Analysts Ltd"
, and people are researching the company and finding this piece "When marketing goes wrong"
, which some visitors have appeared to follow to this one, "Trying to understand traffic flows"
. I just checked, Google Search: "Strategic Business Analysts Ltd"
, and Radically Inept
shows up on the second of two pages.
So, I went ahead and revisited "Strategic Business Analysts Ltd": HomePage
, and apparently, in an effort to avoid paying me for my unsolicited marketing advice, they haven't made very many improvements to their site. They still don't provide the kind of information that would inspire my confidence that they provide more than a convenient opportunity to get rid of some of my funds.
But I do appreciate the hits; so thanks, Ian.
Anyway, I'll be posting more later, It might even be political.
